Etter utlysning av en ny masterstipendordning, har Habitat Norge nå valgt fire kandidater som mottakere. De fire stipendene på NOK 10,000 gjelder for studieåret 2023/24, og er for studenter som skriver masteroppgave om urbanisering i globalt perspektiv, med særlig vekt på sammenhengen mellom det lokale og det globale.
Vi takker for alle innkomne søknader, og ønsker alle som engasjerte seg lykke til med masteroppgaven! De fire kandidatene er:

De siste årene har HNs arbeid konsentrert seg om retten til trygg bolig og de sosiale bærekraftsdimensjonene, og gjenoppbygging etter krig, konflikt og naturkriser. En hovedutfordring med kriger, som den i Ukraina, eller naturkriser er hvordan gjenoppbygge steder og byer på en bærekraftig men enkel og kortreist måte basert på lokal mobilisering og samskaping. Videre har vi vektlagt arkitektur- og planfaglige problemstillinger, og stilt spørsmål ved hvilken forståelse som ligger til grunn for det vi bygger og former.
Gjennom denne stipendordningen inviterer vi masterstudenter til å bidra til å videreutvikle HNs faglige og politiske plattform. Nytt av året er at Norsk BOBY blir med på stipend-satsningen.

After the announcement of a new master’s scholarship program, Habitat Norway has now selected four candidates as recipients. The four scholarships of NOK 10,000 each apply to the academic year 2023/24 and are intended for students writing a master’s thesis on urbanization in a global perspective, with a particular focus on the interplay between the local and the global.
The ones awarded are specified in the list above. We thank everyone for all the received applications and wish all those who applied the best of luck with their master’s thesis!
In recent years, HN’s work has focused on the right to secure housing and the social dimensions of sustainability, as well as reconstruction after wars, conflicts, and natural crises. A primary challenge posed by wars, such as the one in Ukraine, or natural crises is how to rebuild places and cities in a sustainable yet simple and locally-driven manner, based on local mobilization and co-creation. Furthermore, we have emphasized architectural and planning issues, questioning the underlying understanding of what we build and shape.
Through this scholarship program, we invite master’s students to contribute to the further development of HN’s academic and political platform. This year, it is noteworthy that Norsk BOBY is joining the scholarship initiative.
