Ivrer du etter å vite hva som skjer høsten 2025? Vi planlegger en rekke ulike aktiviteter. Det blir blant annet masterstipendseminar på Litteraturhuset 4. september (TBC), markeringer av Urban oktober på Habitatdagen 6. oktober og Den internasjonale bydagen 31. oktober. Vi bidrar også inn til Norsk planmøte 21. oktober. Du kan lese mer om disse og andre aktiviteter nedenfor.   • Masterstipend seminar på Litteraturhuset (4. september – TBC): Habitat Norge (HN) og Norsk Boby har delt ut stipend til studenter som skriver masteroppgaver om arkitektur og urbanisering i et globalt perspektiv. For studieåret 2024/2025 ble det delt ut fire stipender knyttet til de fem tematiske prioriteringsområdene. I masterstipendseminaret hører vi mer om studentens arbeider.
  • Oppstart av Safer Cities 3.0 “Neighbourhoods that care – Enhancing safety and healthy environments in local urban development”
  • Initiativ til utvikling av MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) med Slum Dwellers International (SDI)
  • Urban oktober: HN vil bruke plattformen Urban oktober som starter med Habitatdagen 6. oktober og avsluttes med Verden dag for byer til å utveksle og dele kunnskap om byutvikling og nabolagsutvikling i slum og uformelle bosettinger i det globale sør.
    • Habitatdagen 6. oktober / Tvungne utkastelser – Forced evictions. Arrangement: Filmvisning av “The Legend of the Vagabond Queen in Lagos”, innlegg og debatt. 
    • Verdens dag for byer markeres 30. oktober. Arrangement: Hybrid webinar: Mukuru SPA: Spesialområde og plan for slumoppgradering – brister eller bærer det? Innlegg og debatt. Samarbeid med bl.a. Slum Dwellers International (SDI).

Activities Autumn 2025

Are you eager to learn about the activities Habitat Norway has planned for the autumn? Among other things, there will be a master’s scholarship seminar at the House of Literature on September 4 (TBC), celebrations of Urban October on Habitat Day on October 6 and International City Day on October 31. We also contribute to the Norwegian planning meeting on October 21. You can read more about these and other activities below. The activities will be adapted based on available funds; we are awaiting clarification on several applications. Keep an eye on https://boby.no/ and https://habitat-norge.org/ for updates.

  • Master’s scholarship seminar at the House of Literature (September 4 – TBC).  Habitat Norway (HN) and Norsk BOBY have awarded scholarships to students who write master’s theses on architecture and urbanisation in a global perspective. In the academic year 2024/2025, we awarded four scholarships related to our five thematic priority areas. In this seminar, the students present their work.
  • Launch of Safer Cities 3.0 “Neighbourhoods that care – Enhancing safety and healthy environments in local urban development”
  • Initiative for the development of MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Slum Dwellers International (SDI)  
  • Urban October: HN will utilise the Urban October platform, which spans from Habitat Day on October 6 to World Cities Day on October 31, to exchange and share knowledge about urban development and neighbourhood development in slums and informal settlements in the Global South:
    • Habitat Day, October 6 / (urban crisis response) Hybrid Webinar: Mukuru SPA: Special Area and Plan for Slum Upgrade – Is It Bursting or Bearing? Contributions and debate. Collaboration with, among others, Slum Dwellers International (SDI) and Muungano Alliance (Akiba Mashinani Trust and Muungano Wa Wanavijiji), EMPOWA and Environment and Development (IIED)
    • World Cities Day, October 31: Forced Evictions Event: Film screening of “The Legend of the Vagabond Queen in Lagos”, presentation and debate. Collaboration with, among others, Justice & Empowerment Initiatives (JEI), Slum Dwellers International (SDI), and local associations in BOBY.
  • Norwegian Planning Meeting 2025, October 21 (Theme: Dilemma): HN contributes.
